Get Sketchy Challenge #71

Here is my card for Get Sketchy's Challenge #71. I LOVE THIS CARD!!! I'm soooooo happy with it!!

The papers are all from a stack called Romance. I've had it since I started scrapbooking and rarely used it; but as soon as I saw that sketch, I thought of this paper. The heart is a rub-on I transferred to cardstock and stuck on a piece of pop-out foam. The letters were stamped with the Inkadinkado Elizabeth Burnett (I believe).

Definitely my favorite card of mine! Thanks for viewing! Please leave your thoughts and advice in the comments.

Your pleased poster,
Bethany

"Enjoy" Card

I am very proud of this card; it's one of my favorites to date. Tada!!
I'm especially happy with the way the crystal arc turned out since I was placing them free-hand without a pattern. It's so hard to make a curve, I know. (roll eyes)  :) The paper is from DCWV The Saffron Stack and the flowers are Prima Mulberry flowers.

This is my entry for the Get Sketchy Card Challenge #70.

Please leave a comment with your thoughts on the card. Thanks!

Bethany

Card Patterns Challenge Sketch 97

Why is it I never start making my cards until 9:00 at night?! Lol! Well I was up 'til eleven finishing this one.

This is my entry for the Sketch 97 challenge over on Card Patterns. The paper is all from M&MBI Modern Milan (I just looooove that paper!), the gems are by Colorbok, the letter sticker are American Craft Thickers, and the stamp is LYB Vita Bella stamped with Martha Stewart gold ink.

You may notice that my stamp is a little blurry. Ok, ok, VERY blurry! lol Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the middle of large images like this to stamp for me! I press and press but only the edges transfer to the paper. Any hints or suggestions to what I could do to get better stamped images? They would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for stopping by! See ya soon! (I hope)

Your sloppy stamper,
Bethany

12 Days of Christmas Challenge

I'm so excited today because I've just entered my first challenge! (Yay!) My card is for the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge over at The Daily Dare which was presented by Waltzingmouse Stamps. I'm not expecting to win anything, but I can't wait to read the feedback that I will hopefully get. Fingers crossed!

Here's the card:
The challenge was to use snowflakes. I had these colorful beauties in my possession for a long time but could never think of a Christmas card design for them, so I decided to give the card a different twist. I paired the snowflakes with the striped paper from Me & My Big Ideas Modern Milan. It reminds me of candy, like a roll of Life Savors. :) The shiny foil paper is from Me & My Big Ideas Black and White cardstock, and the letter stickers are Thickers from American Crafts.

I'm not sure what I think about the foil cardstock. My first idea was to use a solid black background, but I don't have a single sheet of just plain black. Disgraceful, I know. Lol. I liked the foil at first; but now that I'm looking at the card, I just don't know. What do you think, a good mix or way too much?

Speaking of cardstock, I really need to invest in some thicker kind. My card is somewhat warped from the glue I used and the thinness of the paper. Any particular brands you like? Leave it in the comments.

Thanks for stopping by!

Your shiny, stripey snowflaker,
Bethany
